Position Overview
MAATS Auditors and Consultants Group is seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Accountant / Assistant Manager – Accounts to join its expanding audit and accounting team in Dubai. This role offers an excellent opportunity for finance professionals who possess strong accounting expertise, client management capabilities, and extensive knowledge of corporate taxation requirements.
The successful candidate will play a key role in managing client accounting operations, preparing financial reports, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting diverse businesses with fiscal matters. The position provides broad exposure to a multi-industry portfolio of clients within a professional, growth-focused environment.
Core Responsibilities
- Oversee, manage, and streamline routine accounting activities for assigned client companies
- Finalize corporate accounts and prepare highly accurate, compliant financial statements
- Ensure total compliance with applicable international accounting standards, local regulations, and corporate reporting requirements
- Attend formal client performance meetings and maintain strong professional relationships with key corporate stakeholders
- Prepare, review, and file financial tax returns systematically in accordance with government authority guidelines
- Manage tax registrations, amendments, structured adjustments, refunds, and deregistration pipelines
- Provide strategic guidance and consultative support to clients regarding general accounting setup, bookkeeping structures, and compliance
- Assist internal teams in resolving complex financial reporting issues and nuanced taxation matters
Candidate Background
- CA, CA Inter, CPA, CMA, or ACCA professional qualification (fully or partially qualified)
- Strong, deep understanding of IFRS guidelines and modern financial reporting principles
- Solid operational knowledge of standard corporate tax structures and filing systems
- Minimum 3–5 years of progressive public accounting or external audit experience
- Minimum 1–2 years of dedicated experience working inside an active audit or accounting agency
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in business-level English
- Strong analytical thinking, logical problem-solving, and client relationship management abilities
