Vernus International School (VIS) is located in Dubai Silicon Oasis and offers an American curriculum for children from Pre-K to Grade 5. We have adopted an American Curriculum which is based on the California Common Core State Standards (CCSS), as well as international standards P21 and global awareness, to meet the needs of diverse learners and increase college and career readiness. This is a full-time on-site role for a School Librarian. The School Librarian will be responsible for library services, library science, metadata, library management, and library instruction. The School Librarian will work collaboratively with teachers, students, and parents to support the school’s educational goals, oversee the library’s collection development and maintenance, and deliver engaging literacy and research instruction to students.

Qualifications

Expertise in Library Services, Library Science, and Metadata
Experience in Library Management and Library Instruction
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
Fluent in English, both written and oral
Bachelor’s degree in Library Science or related field
Experience working in an educational setting is a plus
Familiarity with educational technology and digital resources
