Job Position – Financial Accountant

Company Name – Alfakhama Trading

Applicants must be currently based in Dubai

The ideal candidate will manage financial operations, reporting, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, especially in relation to VAT.

Location: Dubai
Employment Type: Full-Time

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
– Prepare and review financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow).
– Analyze financial data and generate reports on company performance.
– Handle accounts payable/receivable, invoicing, payments, and collections.
– Ensure timely and accurate transaction recording in the accounting system.
– Assist in developing financial policies and ensure regulatory compliance.
– Participate in budgeting and financial forecasting activities.
– Support internal and external audit processes.
– Manage general ledger, reconciliations, and fixed assets.
– Track and report all VAT-related transactions (sales, purchases, expenses).
– Ensure accurate VAT calculations, timely submissions, and payments to the FTA.
– Maintain VAT records and provide internal VAT guidance.
– Monitor regulatory changes and inform relevant departments.
– Resolve discrepancies in bank reconciliations and accounting records.
– Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Managing Director.

Requirements:
– Must be currently residing in Dubai.
– Relevant academic qualifications and prior accounting experience required.
– Proficiency in accounting software and strong understanding of UAE VAT regulations.
