Hiring a qualified and experienced to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for cost estimation, quantity take-offs, contract administration, valuation of works, and cost control for construction projects. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with project teams to ensure projects are completed within budget and contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities
-Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates based on project drawings and specifications.
-Review tender documents and assist in the preparation of bids and quotations.
-Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and cost breakdowns.
-Monitor project costs and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
-Evaluate subcontractor quotations and prepare comparative analyses.
-Prepare interim valuations, payment applications, and final accounts.
-Assess and manage variations, claims, and change orders.
-Coordinate with project managers, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors regarding contractual and commercial matters.
-Verify quantities executed on-site and maintain accurate project cost records.
-Ensure compliance with contract terms, company procedures, and project requirements.
Qualifications and Requirements
-Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
-Minimum of 5 years of experience in quantity surveying and cost control for construction projects.
-Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, estimation, cost control, and contract administration.
-Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and quantity surveying software.
-Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
-Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
-Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
-UAE/GCC construction experience.
-Familiarity with FIDIC contracts and construction claims management.
-Experience in building, infrastructure, and civil construction projects.
-Professional certifications related to Quantity Surveying are an advantage.
